Rahaf Haj Ali was born in Nablus in 2002, is a recent graduate in contemporary visual art from Birzeit University. Her experimental practice incorporates painting, mixed media, sculpture, and Arabic calligraphy, reflecting a dynamic engagement with materials.
Her work explores the environmental and human impact of excavation and mining industries in her hometown of Jama’in, a village known for its stone quarries. Her graduation project, Choking, combines sculpture and painting using sand and clay on wooden boards. The series critically examines pollution, health risks, and the drastic transformation of the natural landscape caused by these industries. Haj Ali has participated in several exhibitions for emerging artists.
