Marwa Bakri was born in Galile’s village of Bi’na in 1989. She is a Palestinian visual artist and photographer based in Jerusalem. Bakri is currently working on her MFA at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. She holds an Art Education Degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BFA from Bezalel’s photography department.

Bakri’s work has been exhibited at the Palestinian art court Al-Hoash (2017,2018), RAF 3rd Edition at Zawyeh Gallery in Ramallah (2022), and the Supermarket exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden. She taught several art workshops in Palestinian cultural institutions such as the Palestinian Art Court and Saraya Lab and Center. She also guides and accompanies graduate artists at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
