DYALA MOSHTAHA

Dyala Moshtaha is a Palestinian artist who was born and raised in the UAE, specializing in digital art and art direction. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins, and furthered her education with a Master’s Degree from Goldsmiths, University of London. After finishing her studies, she returned to the UAE to delve into her passion for graphic design, product design, and art direction.

Despite being geographically distant from her homeland, Dyala Moshtaha harnesses her creativity to maintain a profound connection with her Palestinian roots. Her artistic practice is deeply influenced by her heritage, with a particular focus on collage and illustration. Through these mediums, she pays tribute to Palestine, weaving elements of her cultural and personal identity into her work, as well as commenting on the injustices of war and occupation. 

Dyala’s art has been featured in notable publications such as Haya magazine and Jamalouki, where her pieces have garnered attention for their evocative representation of Palestinian themes. By integrating traditional and contemporary elements, her work strives to evoke a sense of belonging and foster awareness about Palestinian identity and struggles. She seeks out to highlight the many issues that are apparent today and hopes to be a voice for the people through her art. She portrays resisting occupation and Zionism in her illustrations and will always dedicate her art to a wider cause.

In 2024, she participated in the “Posters for Gaza” exhibition at Zawyeh Gallery in Dubai, which focused on themes related to the Palestinian cause, history, and occupation. Through her posters, she aims to raise awareness of social and political issues.
