Durar Bacri was born in Acre in 1982 and graduated with a BFA degree from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem in 2006. Durar has participated in many local and international exhibitions; his solo exhibition “Escalation” at Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah is the artist’s first encounter with audiences in the West Bank. Durar’s works shed light on humanity during the last war on Gaza (2014). It is a shout-out and a tribute to all the people who struggle to survive and who find beauty in even the worst tragedies.
